About this subsidy
This Himachal Pradesh scheme, under its Industrial Investment Policy 2019, reimburses MSMEs for moving and insuring plant and machinery. It applies when you set up a new unit or expand an existing one in a Category A, B or C area.
You can claim 50% of the actual inland carriage and inland transit insurance cost. The cap is ₹2 lakh per enterprise in a Category 'A' area, and ₹3 lakh per enterprise in a Category 'B' or 'C' area.
These are logistics costs that can be large. The reimbursement lets you put that money into other parts of the business, such as technology upgrades, skill development or market expansion. Only Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises can apply. Your enterprise must be located in a Category A, B or C area of Himachal Pradesh.
