To promote research collaboration between Startups and MSMEs, specifically supporting deep-tech ventures in advancing their research and market entry efforts.
What is the difference between Voucher-A and Voucher-B?
Voucher-A (₹3 Lakh) is for Entry into Research, while Voucher-B (₹7 Lakh) is for Entry into Market.
Who is eligible to apply for this scheme?
The program is specifically for Startups and MSMEs, with a focus on DeepTech startups.
Is the scheme currently open for applications?
No, as the application form (linked on the official site) is no longer accepting responses. The scheme is currently closed.
What is the EDII Innovation Voucher Programme?
IVP is a Tamil Nadu state grant scheme run by EDII-TN (Department of MSME). It funds innovative manufacturing MSMEs and startups with Voucher A (up to ₹3 lakh, idea to prototype) or Voucher B (up to ₹7 lakh, prototype to commercialization), usually alongside a Knowledge Partner.
Is IVP a grant or equity?
It is grant support — equity-free and non-repayable on the terms described by EDII. You still co-finance part of the innovation investment as per IVP norms.
Who can apply?
Manufacturing MSMEs or startups that are registered and located in Tamil Nadu, willing to co-finance as per IVP norms, with CIBIL 750+ if applicable, and without a prior contract with the Knowledge Partner used for the application.
What is the difference between Voucher A and Voucher B?
Voucher A (up to ₹3 lakh) supports converting an idea into a working prototype. Voucher B (up to ₹7 lakh) supports commercialization of a validated innovation — design, technology transfer, IP, testing, certification, and related work.
Do I have to use a Knowledge Partner?
IVP is designed around Knowledge Partner support for pre-development and product or process development. You can start from the EDII IVP page or from a partner pathway form; either way, partner engagement is part of how the scheme operates.
How is this different from the AIC RAISE or SRM BRC programme cards?
Those cards are Knowledge Partner apply pathways into the same EDII IVP scheme. Same voucher ceilings and state eligibility; different form and mentoring wrapper. This scheme page is the evergreen parent.
Is there a deadline?
Partner pathways are commonly treated as rolling. Always confirm the live window on editn.in/Web-IVP or the partner form you are using.
What documents are typically needed?
Expect MSME/startup registration proof, a detailed innovation proposal and budget (including co-finance), CIBIL documentation if applicable, and any checklist published on the EDII or Knowledge Partner form. Read the instructions on the form before you start.
