About this subsidy
Under the Healthcare & Ayush care Investment Policy 2020, an investor setting up qualifying healthcare infrastructure in Jammu & Kashmir gets a 30% capital subsidy, with the ceiling set by city size:
- Cities with population under 10 lakh — maximum ₹3 crore
- Cities with population above 10 lakh — maximum ₹5 crore
Qualifying projects are a 50-bedded integrated hospital, an Ayush Medical college, Ayush paramedical colleges, Marketing Mandies, or processing units for medicinal plants. The city-size split runs counter to the usual backward-area logic — the larger cities carry the higher ceiling here.
