About this subsidy
The Jammu & Kashmir Film Policy 2021 adds a top-up for films on children and women empowerment themes: an additional 25% financial assistance over and above the theme subsidy, subject to a maximum of ₹50 lakh total subsidy.
This is a supplement, not a standalone scheme — it stacks on the patriotic/theme film subsidy rather than replacing it, and the ₹50 lakh ceiling applies to the combined total. So a qualifying film draws the base 50%-of-cost subsidy plus this 25%, with the aggregate capped at ₹50 lakh.
