About this subsidy
The Jammu & Kashmir Film Policy 2021 raises the ceiling for a producer's second film in the UT, rewarding repeat shoots:
- Minimum 50% of total shooting days in J&K — up to ₹1.25 crore, or 25% of the total Cost of Production (COP), whichever is lower
- Minimum 75% of total shooting days in J&K — up to ₹1.75 crore, or 25% of COP, whichever is lower
The 25%-of-COP test applies in both slabs, so the rupee figure is a ceiling rather than an entitlement. Shooting-day records inside the UT are the decisive evidence.
