About this subsidy
Under the J&K Affordable Slum Housing Development Policy, 2020, an organisation engaged in housing, slum rehabilitation or township development is exempted from land use conversion charges to the extent of the EWS and LIG housing it builds over and above the mandatory reservation. The exemption scales with how much extra affordable housing you provide, so it rewards going beyond the minimum quota.
