About this subsidy
The Jammu & Kashmir Film Policy 2021 tops out its film ladder at the third film shot in the UT:
- Minimum 50% of total shooting days in J&K — up to ₹1.5 crore, or 25% of the total Cost of Production (COP), whichever is lower
- Minimum 75% of total shooting days in J&K — up to ₹2 crore, or 25% of COP, whichever is lower
As with the first and second film slabs, the 25%-of-COP test caps the claim, so the rupee figure only bites on larger budgets. The higher slab requires three-quarters of all shooting days to happen inside the UT.
