About this subsidy
Under the Jammu and Kashmir Industrial Policy 2021-30, an industrial unit earns an incentive calculated on its turnover, payable for a maximum of 5 years:
- Micro enterprises — 3% of turnover, up to ₹10 lakh
- Small enterprises — 2% of turnover, up to ₹50 lakh
- Medium enterprises — 2% of turnover, up to ₹50 lakh
- Large enterprises — 2% of turnover, up to ₹50 lakh
Unlike the capex-linked items in the same policy, this one rewards trading activity rather than investment — it is the incentive that keeps paying once the plant is running. The micro slab carries the higher 3% rate but the lower ceiling.

What You Get
A turnover-linked incentive paid for up to 5 years: 3% of turnover for micro enterprises (up to ₹10 lakh) and 2% for small, medium and large enterprises (up to ₹50 lakh each). It is claimed annually against audited turnover, so it scales with how much the unit actually sells rather than what it invested.
