About this subsidy
The Jammu & Kashmir Film Policy 2021 supports television serials and shows with a subsidy keyed to how many days you shoot in the UT:
- Minimum 90 days of shooting in J&K — up to ₹50 lakh, or 25% of the total Cost of Production (COP), whichever is lower
- Minimum 180 days of shooting in J&K — up to ₹1 crore, or 25% of COP, whichever is lower
Unlike the feature-film slabs, the threshold here is an absolute day count rather than a percentage of the schedule — which suits long-running serials that base a full season in one location. The 25%-of-COP test still caps the claim.
