About this subsidy
The Jammu & Kashmir Film Policy 2021 extends its production subsidy to web series and original shows made for OTT platforms:
- Minimum 50% of total shooting days in J&K — up to ₹50 lakh, or 25% of the total Cost of Production (COP), whichever is lower
- Minimum 75% of total shooting days in J&K — up to ₹1 crore, or 25% of COP, whichever is lower
As with the feature-film slabs, the threshold is a share of the show's total shooting days and the 25%-of-COP test caps the payout. For a streaming series budgeted below ₹4 crore, the percentage — not the rupee ceiling — is what determines the cheque.
