Selection Process
Applications for the Special Category Incentives undergo a structured evaluation process by the Maharashtra Industries Department. Initially, all submitted documents and the application form are screened to ensure compliance with the basic eligibility criteria and completeness. This includes verifying MSME status, ownership structure, location, and investment details. Subsequently, a technical and financial assessment may be conducted to validate the Fixed Capital Investment in plant and machinery and to confirm the employment generation claims. Site visits to the MSME unit might also be conducted for on-ground verification. A designated committee reviews the verified applications, making recommendations for approval based on adherence to the policy guidelines and the availability of funds. The final decision is communicated to the applicant through the official portal or designated channels.
