About this Opportunity

The MeitY GENESIS EiR program is a flagship government initiative designed to fortify the startup ecosystem by assisting entrepreneurs and students in validating their startup ideas and transforming them into successful businesses. It provides financial assistance, mentorship, and access to a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem, with a specific focus on innovations in the Electronic Design and Manufacturing, Deeptech, and ICT sectors.

Eligibility

Entrepreneur Eligibility: The applicant must be an Indian citizen, at least 18 years old, and a first-generation entrepreneur committed to working full-time on the proposed idea.
Startup/Idea Eligibility: The startup should be at the ideation, concept development, validation, or prototyping stage. It must not have received significant external funding exceeding ₹10 lakhs (including government grants).
Legal and Regional Compliance: If incorporated, the startup must be a Private Limited Company or an LLP no older than two years. The selected applicant must commit to being physically incubated at IIT Mandi Catalyst.
