About this subsidy
An Earnest Money Deposit locks up cash for the length of a tender process — money a micro enterprise usually needs in the business. Under the Industrial and Investment Policy of Mizoram 2025, eligible Micro and Small Enterprises are exempted from payment of Earnest Money Deposits.
The eligibility test is the same as the rest of the procurement preference package: registered and operational within Mizoram, employing at least 70% local workforce. Together with the tender fee exemption, the 12% price preference and the 25% procurement reservation, it makes bidding for state work materially cheaper to attempt.

What You Get
Eligible MSEs are exempted from payment of Earnest Money Deposits. No deposit is blocked for the duration of the tender, which keeps working capital available and lets a small enterprise bid for more contracts at once. It runs alongside the tender fee exemption in the same procurement preference package.
