Quick Answer
Eligible Nagaland units get 50% of stamp duty and registration fee exempted on loan and mortgage documents for five years.
About this subsidy
Clause 6.12 of NTIIP 2025 cuts the transaction cost of raising secured finance. Where an eligible unit executes documents to secure a loan from a financial institution — including the mortgage of fixed assets — 50% of the stamp duty and registration fee is exempted under the Stamp Duty Act. The exemption runs for a period of five years. For a unit financing plant, buildings or expansion through bank debt, this removes half the duty payable on each mortgage instrument executed within that window.
