Quick Answer
Nagaland pays a 5% interest subvention on loans of up to Rs 1 crore taken by thrust-sector units for plant, machinery or buildings.
About this subsidy
The State Capital Interest Subvention Incentive (SCISI), clause 6.2 of the Nagaland Trade Investment and Industrial Policy (NTIIP) 2025, reduces the cost of borrowing for units in the State's thrust sectors. Eligible new units and expanding units in manufacturing, retail and services receive an interest subvention of 5% on loans disbursed up to Rs 1 crore, where the loan finances eligible plant and machinery (for manufacturing) or buildings and other durable physical assets (for service and retail units). The subvention is not available to a unit already assisted under clauses 6.1.1, 6.1.2 or 6.1.3 of the same policy, and where a unit claims a similar benefit under the Centre's UNNATI scheme, only the differential is payable by the State.

What You Get
An interest subvention of 5% on term loans disbursed up to Rs 1 crore, applied to borrowing that funds eligible plant and machinery (manufacturing units) or buildings and other durable physical assets (service and retail units). It lowers the effective cost of capital expenditure finance rather than paying a lump sum. Units already assisted under NTIIP clauses 6.1.1, 6.1.2 or 6.1.3 are excluded, and where UNNATI provides a comparable benefit the State pays only the difference.
