About this Opportunity

The NRL Ideation Angel Fund (NRL IAF) is a Category I Venture Capital Fund (Angel Fund) with a corpus of Rs. 35 crores. It aims to boost the startup ecosystem, primarily in the North East region, by investing in startups with scalable business models, significant growth potential, proven market potential, and a talented management team. Funding is currently provided as grants for idea-stage startups and will include equity/convertible notes for later stages.

Must be a DPIIT recognized startup and registered as a Private Limited Company.
Scalable business models and sustainable competitive advantage.
Significant growth potential.
Proven market potential and customer need.
Exceptionally talented management team with deep industry expertise.
Clear Exit strategy.
Large Market.
Identified Pain point and need, gap.
High entry barrier, early mover advantage.
For idea stage grant: Any Indian Citizen, Any NRI, NRL Employees on lien, with project based out of or in North East India.

Application Process

Submit startup proposals online. The portal is open for applications throughout the year.
Proposals are screened and evaluated in three stages: Screening & Preliminary Evaluation, Evaluation by Jury, and Final Approval.
For the idea stage grant, proposals are reviewed quarterly.
