About this subsidy
The "Production Linked Incentive Support on JDPs" scheme, launched by the National Jute Board under the Ministry of Textiles, aims to significantly enhance the global competitiveness of Indian Jute Diversified Products (JDPs). This initiative is designed to increase India's market share in global jute exports, attract new entrepreneurs to the sector, and boost export values to ₹1600 crore by 2026.
The scheme offers a crucial financial incentive by reimbursing five percent of the cost of raw jute material utilized in the manufacturing of exported JDPs. This reimbursement is capped at three percent of the sales value of these exports, with a maximum financial support limit of ₹12,00,000 per unit per annum. Eligible applicants include Jute Mill Companies and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) units established within India that are actively involved in the manufacturing and export of JDPs. The entire scheme is efficiently implemented and overseen by the National Jute Board, ensuring a streamlined online application and claim process for beneficiaries.

Selection Process
The scheme does not involve a competitive selection process in the traditional sense, but rather a verification process. Applications are first registered, and then quarterly claims are submitted. The National Jute Board reviews these submitted claims and cross-verifies all uploaded documents against the stated eligibility and disbursement criteria. Any discrepancies or shortcomings identified during this examination are communicated to the claimants via email for clarification or compliance. Once validated, the eligible incentive amount is disbursed.
