About this grant
The Industries and Commerce Department of Puducherry pays 50% of the cost of acquiring technology, up to ₹10,00,000. The scheme began on April 1, 2017, and sits under the Motivation of Entrepreneurs to Start Industries and Fiscal Assistance to Capital Intensive Industries program.
The technology can be in any form. New units can use it to set up. Existing units can use it for new products or better production processes. You apply offline on the prescribed form on the department's website.
Your unit must give at least 60% of its jobs to Puducherry residents, and keep that level for 5 years. You also cannot transfer or dispose of fixed assets for 5 years.
Units with bank finance get the grant through the financial institution. Self-financed units are paid directly.
