Clause 12.8 D 23 of Punjab's Industrial and Business Development Policy 2022 institutes annual State awards recognising enterprises for excellence in productivity, quality and export. The award carries ₹1 lakh per unit and is given for each category of enterprise — MSME, SC-owned, Women-owned and Exporter. Beyond the cash, the recognition is usable: a State award is a credible reference point in tender pre-qualification documents, buyer conversations and bank credit appraisals, which is often worth more to a small unit than the prize money itself.
