About this subsidy
Clause 12.8 A(6) of Punjab's Industrial and Business Development Policy 2022 helps MSMEs raise equity on the public market by refunding a quarter of their public issue costs. The reimbursement is 25% of public issue expenses, capped at INR 10 lakh, for registration on the National Stock Exchange's Emerge SME platform. It can be claimed once during the validity period of the policy. Public issue expenses are the merchant banker, legal, registrar, printing and exchange costs that make an SME IPO expensive relative to the amount raised.

A quarter of the cost of going public on NSE Emerge is refunded, to a ceiling of INR 10 lakh. It is a one-shot benefit — claimable once during the policy's validity period — so it is best used against the main issue rather than a preparatory step.
