About this subsidy
Machinery, samples and finished goods have to reach the exhibition hall and come back — a cost that can rival the stall itself for a manufacturer shipping bulky products.
Under the Special Marketing Assistance Scheme (SMAS) of the National SC-ST Hub, a participating SC/ST enterprise is reimbursed 100% of the to-and-fro transport charges for carrying exhibits and products from the location of the manufacturing unit up to the place of exhibition, subject to a maximum of Rs. 15,000 per exhibition.
It is claimed per exhibition, alongside the stall charge subsidy and travel fare support for the same event.
