About this subsidy
Under the Special Marketing Assistance Scheme (SMAS) of the National SC-ST Hub, SC/ST enterprises are taken on organised visits to domestic exhibitions and trade fairs to meet buyers, see what competitors are showing and judge whether to exhibit next time.
This component pays for getting there: 100% of the actual to-and-fro fare for bus, train or air travel — limited to AC-III tier class — from the nearest railway station or airport to the place of exhibition, by the shortest route, for one SC/ST person per SC/ST enterprise, subject to a maximum of Rs. 10,000.
