About this subsidy
The Special Marketing Assistance Scheme (SMAS) of the National SC-ST Hub takes SC/ST enterprises to international exhibitions and trade fairs as exhibitors, and meets most of the cost of being there.
This component sets the ceiling on that support, and it varies by enterprise size: Rs. 3.00 lakh for micro SC/ST enterprises, Rs. 2.50 lakh for small SC/ST enterprises and Rs. 1.50 lakh for medium SC/ST enterprises, per event.
The smallest enterprises get the largest ceiling — the support is deliberately weighted towards those least able to fund an overseas stand themselves. Airfare, stall charges and other admissible participation costs are settled within this ceiling.
