About this subsidy
Under the Tripura Industrial Investment Promotion Incentives Scheme, 2022, industrial units in Tripura can claim support on power charges. This record is that power-charges incentive (section 4). For industrial units with connected load above 20 HP, power charges will be provided at Rs.5.00 per unit without any upper ceiling. That Rs.5.00 per unit figure is a rate per unit of electricity. It is not a lump-sum award and is not treated here as a total rupee grant. There is no rupee cap stated for this above-20 HP band.
For industrial units with connected load up to 20 HP, the State reimburses 25% of the power charges actually paid, subject to an upper ceiling of Rs.15 lakhs for a Non-Thrust Sector enterprise and Rs.25 lakhs for a Thrust Sector enterprise, per annum. In that band you pay the bill first and claim a quarter of it back, cut off at those yearly ceilings.
