Selection Process
The selection process for the Rural Business Incubators scheme is designed to identify promising entrepreneurs and businesses that can significantly contribute to Uttarakhand's rural economy. Following the submission of an application, either online or at a local RBI office, a detailed file is compiled for each applicant outlining their business proposal and assistance requirements. These applications are then rigorously evaluated by a District Level Screening Committee. This committee, comprising experts and representatives from relevant departments, assesses various aspects including the viability and innovativeness of the business idea, the applicant's entrepreneurial drive, the potential for job creation, and alignment with the scheme's objectives of fostering self-employment and reducing migration. Shortlisted applicants may be invited for further discussions or presentations. Upon successful screening, selected incubatees are officially onboarded and begin receiving tailored support and services through the HEARTS framework, ensuring they get the most relevant assistance under the RBI initiative.
