About this grant
The Uttar Pradesh Startup Policy 2026 lets a deep-tech startup claim more than the standard Prototype Grant or Seed Capital Assistance.
If your proposal is rigorously evaluated and recommended by the concerned Centre of Excellence (CoE), Deep Tech Hub or Innovation Hub, the approved incentive amount can be increased up to twice the standard startup incentive, subject to approval by the Programme Implementation Unit (PIU).
This is a top-up on an existing grant rather than a separate application: you apply for the Prototype Grant or the Seed Grant, and the CoE recommendation is what unlocks the enhanced amount. The policy expresses the benefit as a multiple of the standard incentive and does not state a rupee ceiling of its own.

What You Get
The approved Prototype Grant or Seed Grant is increased up to twice the standard startup incentive. The policy states the enhancement as a multiple rather than a rupee figure, so what you receive depends on which standard grant you qualify for and on what the PIU approves. The route runs through a Centre of Excellence, Deep Tech Hub or Innovation Hub, which also means technical evaluation and access to that institution.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much extra can I get?
The approved incentive amount can be increased up to twice the standard startup incentive. The policy states the benefit as a multiple and does not fix a separate rupee ceiling.
Is this a separate scheme?
No. It is an enhancement of the Prototype Grant or the Seed Grant, unlocked when a Centre of Excellence, Deep Tech Hub or Innovation Hub recommends your proposal.
Who has to recommend my proposal?
The concerned Centre of Excellence (CoE), Deep Tech Hub or Innovation Hub, after a rigorous evaluation. The enhanced amount is then subject to PIU approval.
Does it take equity?
No. It enhances a grant, so nothing is repaid and no equity is taken.
