About this grant
The XCITE Rural Business Incubation Programme, spearheaded by the XLRI Council for Innovation Technology & Entrepreneurship (XCITE) and supported by NABARD, is designed to nurture and accelerate early-stage rural enterprises. This first cohort specifically targets ventures led by women, tribal communities, and those operating in rural areas across the Eastern and North-Eastern states of India. The program aims to foster sustainable economic development by empowering entrepreneurs focused on critical sectors such as agriculture, non-timber forest produce, circular economy, and rural value chains including handicrafts and livelihoods. Through a robust incubation model, XCITE seeks to address the unique challenges faced by rural businesses, providing them with the necessary resources, knowledge, and connections to grow and thrive. This initiative aligns with XLRI's commitment to social impact and entrepreneurship, leveraging academic expertise to create tangible change in underserved regions.
