Who is eligible to apply for this program?

Entrepreneurs aged 18-55 are eligible, provided their business has an annual turnover under ₹20 lakh and is located or proposed in Tier 2, 3, 4 cities, or a rural area. At least one founder must be from one of the 12 Eastern and North-Eastern states of India.

XCITE by XLRI - Rural Incubation (2026): Results & Updates

The XCITE Rural Business Incubation Programme, spearheaded by the XLRI Council for Innovation Technology & Entrepreneurship (XCITE) and supported by NABARD, is designed to nurture and accelerate early-stage rural enterprises. This first cohort specifically targets ventures led by women, tribal communities, and those operating in rural areas across the Eastern and North-Eastern states of India. The program aims to foster sustainable economic development by empowering entrepreneurs focused on critical sectors such as agriculture, non-timber forest produce, circular economy, and rural value chains including handicrafts and livelihoods. Through a robust incubation model, XCITE seeks to address the unique challenges faced by rural businesses, providing them with the necessary resources, knowledge, and connections to grow and thrive.
