About this Opportunity

The AI by HER: The Impact Challenge for Women in AI is a global innovation challenge inviting women technologists and women-led teams to demonstrate AI solutions tackling large-scale or novel real-world public challenges.

The initiative promotes inclusive innovation, gender equity, and Global South innovation. It aims to showcase scalable AI-for-Good applications at the India-AI Impact Summit in New Delhi (February 2026).

Key benefits for top entries (up to 30 globally) include:

Funding Support (Award Money) up to ₹2.5 Crore for 10 winners.
Immersive Bootcamps (Responsible AI, Investor Readiness & Pitching).
Exclusive opportunity to Showcase innovations at the India-AI Impact Summit.
Travel and accommodation covered for up to two members per finalist team for the Summit.
Access to potential compute and cloud credits.

Eligibility

For Women-led teams or women-led entities from across the globe.
The core applying team must include at least one woman as a technical lead, product lead, or business lead.
AI solutions must be pilot-ready (ready for or having completed pilot) or already scaling (solutions with presence in the market). Entries must show a working AI prototype or a mature solution.
Open to students, universities, research institutions, autonomous bodies, startups, commercial enterprises, and non-profits. However, to receive the award money, the team must be registered as a Company or Startup before the Summit.
Innovative and scalable AI solutions for global good in thematic areas such as Health, Education, Climate, and beyond.

Application Process

Application Submission: Register and submit the innovative AI solution online by the deadline.
Round 1 Evaluation: Solutions are scored and shortlisted based on Solution Definition, Technical Feasibility, Business Model, Team Competence, and Potential Impact.
Round 2 & Bootcamps: Shortlisted innovators are invited for presentation to a jury panel and may be invited to participate in virtual bootcamps (e.g., Investor Readiness).
Summit Showcase & Award: Finalist teams (up to 30) present at the India-AI Impact Summit and an exclusive Investor Pitch Session. Award money (up to ₹2.5 Cr) is subject to registration as a Company/Startup before the Summit.
