The AP-AER Mission Hackathon 1.0 is a state-wide innovation challenge organized by the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) under the Government of Andhra Pradesh. It aims to identify and scale alternate energy solutions across Andhra Pradesh, focusing on energy systems that are local, resilient, and sustainable. This mission aligns with Swarandhra Vision 2047 and the AP Innovation & Startup Policy 4.0 (2024-2029), driving a deployment-first approach to energy transition at the grassroots level across the state.
The program covers 12 sector-focused challenges across four primary domains: cooking energy, mobility and transport, agriculture and rural energy, and MSMEs and industrial energy. Solutions must demonstrate real-world implementability within Andhra Pradesh, with a clear pathway to pilot and procurement phases. Participants engage through three distinct tracks tailored to different maturity levels: Deploy Now for market-ready solutions seeking immediate pilots and fast-track deployment; Adapt & Validate for prototype-stage innovations seeking field validation and pilot support; and Build New for students and early-stage innovators seeking incubation and prototyping assistance. Every stage of innovation, from idea to implementation, is supported.
