Frequently Asked Questions
Who is eligible for this subsidy?
Micro, Small, and Medium enterprises (MSMEs) registered under the Micro and Small Enterprise Development Policy (MEDP) 4.0 and Food Processing Policy (FPP) 4.0 for the period 2024-2029 are eligible. Additionally, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Federations, Cooperatives, and Societies may also qualify, with eligibility often depending on their investment size and operational scope within Andhra Pradesh.
What is the maximum subsidy amount I can receive?
The maximum subsidy amount is tiered based on your enterprise classification. Micro enterprises can receive up to ₹20 Lakhs, Small enterprises can avail up to ₹40 Lakhs, and Medium enterprises are eligible for a maximum of ₹50 Lakhs. This represents the highest possible one-time financial support for qualifying equipment.
What percentage of the equipment cost does the subsidy cover?
The subsidy is designed to cover 25% of the total cost of the eligible equipment that is commissioned as a direct result of a water audit. This ensures that a substantial portion of the investment in water-efficient technology is supported by the government.
Is this a repayable loan or a non-repayable grant?
This is a non-repayable subsidy, meaning the funds received do not need to be paid back to the government. It is provided as a one-time financial incentive to promote specific investments in water conservation and efficiency.
Is there a deadline to apply for this subsidy?
The Equipment Commissioning Subsidy is an ongoing incentive under the Micro and Small Enterprise Development Policy (MEDP) 4.0 and Food Processing Policy (FPP) 4.0, which are active from 2024 to 2029. While applications are typically accepted on a continuous, rolling basis throughout this policy period, it is always advisable to check with the implementing authority, such as the Department of Industries & Commerce of Andhra Pradesh, for any specific application windows or cut-off dates.
What kind of equipment is eligible for this subsidy?
The subsidy is specifically intended for equipment commissioned based on recommendations from a water audit. This generally includes machinery and systems designed to improve water efficiency, reduce water consumption, facilitate water recycling, or enhance wastewater treatment processes within the enterprise's operations. The equipment must contribute directly to the goals of water conservation and sustainable resource management.
Is co-financing required from the applicant?
Yes, as the subsidy covers 25% of the equipment cost, the eligible enterprise is required to provide the remaining 75% of the financing for the equipment. This ensures a shared investment in adopting sustainable technologies.
