What it is Fundraising for Startups is an evening panel conversation bringing together founders who have raised capital and investors who write the cheques, to unpack what a fundraise actually takes in practice.
Who it's for Early-stage and growth-stage founders preparing or actively running a round, angel investors and VCs scouting deal flow, and operators who want a realistic view of how Indian startup financing works before they step into it.
What to expect The session is framed around a simple premise: raising money looks like a pitch problem, but it usually turns out to be a timing, traction, and trust problem. The panel will work through that idea from both sides of the table - what investors are genuinely evaluating, and what founders consistently get wrong about the process.
Agenda highlights
Format A moderated panel followed by audience questions, with informal networking time built in - the kind of room where a founder can meet an angel investor without a formal introduction.
About the organiser eChai Bangalore Startup Network is part of the eChai Ventures community, which runs regular startup meetups and founder gatherings across Indian cities. These sessions are deliberately kept small and conversational, focused on peer learning and warm introductions rather than large-scale conference programming. The Bangalore chapter regularly hosts founders, operators and investors for discussions on fundraising, go-to-market, hiring and early-stage growth.
Details Held in Bengaluru on 17 October 2026, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM IST. Registration is through the Meetup event page.
