About this Opportunity

The Grant for Research and Entrepreneurship across Aspiring Innovators in Technical Textiles (GREAT) aims to support young innovators, scientists/technologists, and startup ventures in the field of Technical Textiles to translate their ideas into commercial technologies/products and make India self reliant. It provides grant-in-aid for functional prototypes or commercialization of technologies.

Eligibility

Individual Applicant: Indian citizen, minimum age 21 years, must be incubated in an Incubator (MoU required for final approval, Letter of Support at application). If employed/associated with an organization, must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC). Must have a registered company/start-up before grant release. Not eligible if a promoter/shareholder of a Technical Textiles’ Startup Company.
Startup Company: Incorporated as a private limited company or registered as a partnership firm or LLP with turnover less than INR 100 Crores in any of the previous financial years. Working towards innovation/improvement of existing products/services/processes with employment/wealth creation potential. Registered under Indian Companies Act, 1956/2013. Incorporation date not more than 5 years at the time of application. Minimum 51% capital owned by resident Indian citizens/companies. Must have a Project Leader and adequate R&D facility or be associated/incubated at an incubator.
