The selection process for the Capital Subsidy primarily involves a thorough scrutiny and verification of applications and supporting documents by the relevant government authorities. After an industrial unit applies for registration, the Industries Commissioner's office reviews the submission to ensure compliance with the policy's procedural and eligibility criteria. This initial screening leads to the issuance of a registration certificate. Subsequently, when units apply for their Provisional/Final Eligibility Certificate, depending on their MSME status and Gross Fixed Capital Investment (GFCI), different authorities (General Manager, District Industries Center; MSME Commissioner; or Industries Commissioner) will conduct further verification. This rigorous process ensures that only eligible units, undertaking specified activities and meeting all investment and production milestones, receive the capital subsidy for their fixed capital investments, thereby aligning with the policy's objectives of industrial growth and sustainability.

The Capital Subsidy offers substantial financial assistance to eligible industrial units in Gujarat, structured in tiers based on the location of the unit (Category 1, 2, or 3, and PM MITRA Park) and the specific activity undertaken (Activity 1 or Activity 2). For Activity 1 (Garments, Apparel & Made-ups, Technical Textiles Activity, including Composite Units), units in Category 1 & PM MITRA Park can receive up to 35% of their Eligible Fixed Capital Investment (eFCI), with a maximum cap of ₹100 crore. Category 2 units are eligible for up to 30% of eFCI, also capped at ₹100 crore, while Category 3 units can receive up to 20% of eFCI, with a maximum of ₹50 crore. For Activity 2 (Weaving, Knitting, Dyeing & Processing, Texturising, Twisting, Embroidery, and MMF Spinning), Category 1 & PM MITRA Park units are eligible for up to 20% of eFCI, with a maximum of ₹50 crore. Category 2 units receive up to 18% of eFCI, capped at ₹50 crore, and Category 3 units get up to 10% of eFCI, with a maximum of ₹40 crore.
