About this subsidy
The Industrial Infrastructure Development Fund (IIDF) Assistance is a key incentive under Telangana's MSME Policy - 2024, designed to bolster industrial growth and streamline the setup process for new manufacturing units. This program specifically addresses the critical challenge of infrastructure development by providing essential utilities directly at the doorstep of standalone industrial establishments. By mitigating significant upfront capital expenditure for basic facilities like roads, power, and water, the IIDF aims to create a more conducive environment for industrial investment and expansion across the state.
The core objective of the IIDF is to attract and support industries that choose to establish themselves in areas beyond existing, well-serviced industrial estates. This strategic focus encourages decentralized industrial development, helping to spread economic opportunities and employment to newer regions within Telangana. It plays a vital role in enabling enterprises to focus their resources on core business operations rather than grappling with fundamental infrastructural gaps.
Under this scheme, eligible industrial units receive substantial financial support towards the cost of developing vital external infrastructure. The assistance ensures that even units setting up in less developed locales can benefit from modern amenities required for efficient operations. This initiative underscores the state government's commitment to fostering a robust and accessible industrial ecosystem, promoting both new ventures and the expansion of existing businesses.

Selection Process
The selection process for the IIDF assistance involves a multi-stage evaluation by the Telangana Industries Department. Applications are first screened for completeness and adherence to basic eligibility criteria as outlined in the MSME Policy - 2024. This includes verifying the applicant's enterprise category and ensuring the proposed location meets the specified distance requirements from existing industrial estates. A dedicated committee or panel within the department will then evaluate the technical and financial viability of the infrastructure development plan, assessing the reasonableness of the estimated costs and the linkage to the eligible Fixed Capital Investment. The assessment aims to ensure that the assistance is provided to projects that demonstrate genuine need and will contribute effectively to industrial growth. Final decisions are made based on a comprehensive review of all submitted documentation and verification reports.
