Multi-sector focused startup accelerator
A corporate accelerator or incubator is run by a company that wants to work with startups relevant to its own business. What you get is different from a generalist programme: access to the company's product teams, a route to a pilot or a customer contract, and sometimes the use of its technology or distribution. In return the sponsor gets early sight of what is being built in its sector.
That makes fit the first test. A corporate programme in India is looking for startups in or next to the sponsor's industry, so a strong company in an unrelated field is unlikely to be selected, and it would not get much from the programme if it were. Look at what the sponsor sells, what problems it has named, and whether your product answers one of them.
Before you commit, be clear on the commercial terms. Ask whether a pilot is paid, whether there is any exclusivity on what you build for the sponsor, who owns what is developed together, and whether the sponsor holds a right of first refusal on later investment. These points are normal to ask, and the answers decide whether the programme helps you or limits you.
We list 157 corporate accelerators and incubators in India, out of 2755 startup support organisations we list there. The count updates as profiles are added and verified.
Counting the profiles on this page, most are in Maharashtra (55), Karnataka (33) and Haryana (23).
Some do and some do not. Many run on the sponsor's own budget and ask for nothing, while others take a stake or hold rights over later funding. The terms differ by programme and should be confirmed in writing before you join.
It can, but it is not guaranteed. Some programmes are built around a pilot with the sponsor, and others offer mentoring and access without a commercial commitment. Check what the programme states as its outcome.
