About this Opportunity

The MeitY Startup Hub's Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) Program, under the GENESIS scheme of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, supports budding entrepreneurs and early-stage startups.

The program aims to provide a nurturing ecosystem through incubators like IC IIT Patna. By focusing on innovators at the initial stages, it encourages entrepreneurial growth, fosters innovation, and creates a strong foundation for emerging startups in the electronics and information technology sectors.

Financial assistance of up to ₹10 Lakh is available, subject to approval by the Screening and Monitoring Committee.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Indian citizens with innovative startup ideas.
Innovators at the stage of Ideation, Concept Development, Validation / Problem-Solution Fit, Proof of Concept (PoC), or Prototyping/Working Prototype.
Full-time UG/PG students with entrepreneurial pursuits or founders/co-founders of DPIIT-registered startups (must be ≤ 2 years old).
Only applicants/entities registered from Tier II & III cities are eligible.
Applicants must be working in the domain of:
- ESDM & Manufacturing
- ICT Space
- Deeptech Software & Product
Must use the following technologies:
- AI/ML, IoT, VLSI/ Semiconductor, Cyber Security, Blockchain, Quantum Computing, AR/VR/Spatial and Immersive Tech.
EIR support is available only once under the GENESIS scheme.
