About this Opportunity

The MeitY GENESIS EIR Program (Cohort 2.0) is a government-backed initiative providing financial and ecosystem support to innovators in Tier II and III cities. This program, hosted by the AIC SMUTBI (Sikkim Manipal University Technology Business Incubation) Foundation, is designed to accelerate early-stage technology ventures from the Ideation to the Prototyping stage. It provides grant funding of up to ₹10 Lakhs, expert mentorship, and incubation facilities to support innovators working on Deeptech, Electronic Design & Manufacturing (EDM), and ICT solutions.

Eligibility

Must be an Indian citizen.
The applicant must be a full-time UG/PG student with entrepreneurial ambitions OR a founder/co-founder of a DPIIT-registered startup (≤ 2 years old).
Innovation must be at the Ideation to Working Prototype stage.
Only applicants from Tier II & III cities are eligible.
Selected applicants must commit to being physically incubated at the AIC SMUTBI center.
Innovations must be in Electronic Design & Manufacturing, DeepTech Software & Products, or the ICT Space (including AI/ML, IoT, Blockchain, etc.).
