About this subsidy
Clause 7.2 of the Odisha Food Processing Policy 2022 helps enterprises build their own cold-chain transport. Businesses carrying and transporting horticultural and non-horticultural produce get a credit-linked, back-ended subsidy of 35% of the cost of standalone new reefer vehicles or mobile pre-cooling vans, subject to a maximum of ₹25 lakh.
Because it is credit-linked and back-ended, the vehicle is financed through a bank or financial institution and the subsidy is adjusted against the loan once the asset is in place. The scheme is administered by the MSME Department, Government of Odisha and claimed through the state's investment single window.
