About this subsidy
Most investment subsidies arrive only after a unit starts commercial production, which is exactly when a first-generation SC, ST or PwD promoter is least able to fund the build. Telangana's incentives guidelines let this group draw the subsidy early, in paripassu mode alongside their term loan.
The eligible investment subsidy is released as a first instalment of 35% and a second of 45%, with the final 20% coming after commercial production begins. The first instalment is sanctioned once the term loan is sanctioned, the requisite approvals are obtained and civil works have commenced; the second follows completion of civil works and placement of orders for plant and machinery. The final 20% is sanctioned by the respective State or District Level Committee after commercial production starts. Release is subject to availability of budget under SCSP, TSP and PwD allocations.
The facility covers new micro and small enterprises in both manufacturing and services, excluding the transport sector and equipment of a mobile nature.
