About this subsidy
Telangana's MSME Policy 2024 reserves its heaviest capital support for SC, ST and PwD promoters. A micro or small manufacturing enterprise set up by an SC, ST or PwD entrepreneur receives a 50% investment subsidy on its fixed capital investment, with a ceiling of Rs. 100 lakh per unit.
Where the promoter is also a woman entrepreneur in this category, a further 20% investment subsidy applies, limited to Rs. 20 lakh, taking the maximum subsidy to Rs. 120 lakh per unit. The subsidy is on plant and machinery and other eligible fixed capital, so it materially cuts the equity a first-generation manufacturer has to bring to the table.
