About this grant
UdyogTech Synapse 2026 is a flagship initiative by the I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC), the Technology Innovation Hub of IIT Delhi, launched in collaboration with leading industry partners like Tech Mahindra, CMTI, and COLORJET. This program serves as a critical platform to accelerate deep-tech innovation, bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and real-world industrial deployment. It targets a broad spectrum of innovators, from academic researchers and R&D startups to established industries and system integrators, encouraging them to develop solutions for industrial robotics, collaborative robotics (cobotics), and advanced manufacturing applications.
The program aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in key industrial domains, aligning with India's vision for advanced manufacturing and Industry 4.0. By providing substantial financial support—up to ₹2 Crore for individual projects and up to ₹5 Crore for consortiums—UdyogTech Synapse enables innovators to move their technologies from proof-of-concept (TRL 4 and above) through refinement, field trials, pilot deployment, and readiness for commercialization. Beyond funding, the program offers invaluable technical mentoring, access to specialized testbeds, and direct connections to a robust industry network, facilitating market access and real-world application of novel solutions. This initiative is designed to translate high-potential research into impactful, scalable, and sustainable industrial technologies, thereby contributing to socio-economic growth and strengthening India's deep-tech ecosystem.
