Up to ₹10 lakh as a prototype grant per selected idea / team under the DST NIDHI iTBI Scheme.

Does GIF take equity?

No. The Ignition Grant is non-dilutive — selected innovators retain full ownership of their venture.

What is the selection process?

Application → screening → shortlisting → pitching to GIF panel → panel evaluation → grant award and incubation onboarding.

Do I need to be from Kashmir to apply?

The programme is run from NIT Srinagar but applications are open to innovators across India, provided they can engage with the GIF incubator for the prototype phase.
