In today’s fast-paced, data-driven world, the ability to make logical and smart estimates is a crucial skill across all industries. This challenge pushes participants to tackle complex real-world questions by breaking them down into logical components, making reasonable assumptions, and arriving at defendable estimates. Who Should Apply This competition is open to all undergraduate students across India. Participants can form teams of 1 to 3 members, encouraging both individual brilliance and collaborative problem-solving. Format & Timeline The challenge unfolds in three distinct rounds: Round 1: Elimination Round – “Quick Estimate” (Online, 20-30 minutes): This initial round features 8-10 guesstimate-based questions, testing logical breakdown, approximation skills, and business thinking without the need for calculators. Top-performing teams will advance. Round 2: Semi-Final – “Case Sprint” (Offline, New Delhi): Qualified teams will be given a short guesstimate case/problem. With 15 minutes for preparation and 3-4 minutes for a quick explanation, the focus is on speed and structured problem-solving. Final Round – “The Ultimate Guesstimate Showdown” (Offline, New Delhi): Finalist teams will receive a complex real-world business problem. They will have 20 minutes to prepare, followed by a 5-minute presentation and a 3-minute Q&A session with judges. Evaluation will be based on problem breakdown, creativity of assumptions, accuracy of estimation, and presentation skills. The competition's final round takes place on April 22, 2026, at Aryabhatta College, New Delhi. Prizes A total cash prize pool of ₹5,000 is up for grabs, distributed among the top two teams. Winners will also receive certificates. Eligibility The competition is exclusively for undergraduate students. Teams must consist of 1 to 3 members. Plagiarism and the use of AI are strictly prohibited, and participants selected for offline rounds must bring their college IDs.
