About this grant
Gujarat offers financial assistance to startups and innovators under the Gujarat Industrial Policy 2020. It is open to individuals or groups with an innovative idea, recommended by an approved Nodal Institution. Projects from any sector can apply, including science, technology, engineering, agriculture and healthcare.
The scheme started on August 7, 2020 and runs for five years, until August 6, 2025. It builds on the Industrial Policy 2015, which helped set up a network of nodal institutions and grow many startups.
Beyond funding, you get incubation support through approved Nodal Institutions, which include universities, educational institutions, incubation centers, PSUs and R&D institutions. Registered resource persons linked to these institutions offer mentorship.
You are not eligible if your entity was formed by splitting up or reconstructing an existing business. Startups already getting incentives from other Gujarat government startup schemes (except SSIP) are also excluded.
