Ecovate 2026 is a sustainability-driven innovation challenge organised under Nivaan, the annual sustainability initiative of the Social Impact Cell (SIC) at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Pune. The competition challenges participants to develop practical, scalable, and future-ready solutions to pressing energy, business, and sustainability challenges.
Who Should Apply
Open to students pursuing an Undergraduate degree or above in any discipline. Teams of 1–3 members from the same institute are eligible. There is no restriction on the number of teams from a single institute.
Tracks / Themes
Participants will tackle contemporary issues related to clean energy, circular economy, climate resilience, and responsible business practices. The competition encourages analytical thinking, creativity, and strategic problem-solving.
Format & Timeline
All rounds of the competition will be conducted online. The event runs from July 24 to August 8, 2026. Registration closes on July 31, 2026. Judging criteria are based on the practicality, scalability, and impact of the proposed solutions.
Prizes
Total cash prize pool of ₹50,000 distributed as follows:
- Winner: ₹25,000
- First Runner Up: ₹15,000
- Second Runner Up: ₹10,000
Eligibility
Open to students pursuing an Undergraduate degree or above in any discipline. Teams of 1–3 members from the same institute. One student cannot be part of more than one team. No changes in team structure after registration.
