InnoPost is a dynamic Technical Poster Competition organized by the University of Calcutta, designed to bring innovative ideas to life through creative visual storytelling. Participants are invited to present their concepts, research, and solutions as impactful posters, which will be judged by esteemed delegates on innovation, clarity, and presentation. This competition celebrates creativity and technical excellence, providing a platform for students to showcase their problem-solving skills.
Who Should Apply
This competition is open to all B.Tech/B.E. students. Teams can be formed across different institutes or disciplines, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. Each team must consist of 1 to 3 members.
Tracks / Themes
Participants can develop solutions across a range of critical themes, addressing real-world challenges:
- Environmental Sustainability & Green Innovation: Focus on solutions for environmental sustainability and efficient resource use, including renewable energy, eco-friendly materials, carbon reduction, and circular economy initiatives.
- Smart Waste Solutions & Resource Management: Develop innovative approaches to waste handling, processing, and reuse, such as waste segregation, composting, e-waste recycling, and digital tracking platforms.
- Artificial Intelligence & Intelligent Automation: Build solutions leveraging AI and automation, including chatbots, robotics, predictive analytics, industrial automation, and AI-based detection systems.
- Disaster Resilience & Emergency Response Systems: Create systems for enhanced disaster preparedness and response, such as early warning systems, drone mapping, emergency communication, and rescue robots.
- Healthcare Innovation & Medical Technology: Design innovations to improve healthcare access and efficiency, including wearable devices, telemedicine, AI diagnostics, and affordable medical equipment.
- Open Innovation & Student-Led Creations: An open category for creative and interdisciplinary ideas, encompassing apps, robotics, education tools, sustainability solutions, and other real-world innovations.
Format & Timeline
The competition will take place physically in Kolkata. Each registered team will be provided with a dedicated space for displaying their poster and demonstrating their concept. All registered participants will receive complimentary snacks on the day of the event. Judging will be based on originality, scalability, feasibility, industrial relevance, and overall presentation.
Prizes
Outstanding entries will be recognized with a total cash prize pool of ₹5,000. The prizes are distributed as follows:
- 1st Place: ₹2,500
- 2nd Place: ₹1,500
- 3rd Place: ₹1,000
Every participant will also be awarded an official certificate of participation.
Eligibility
The competition is open to all B.Tech/B.E. students. Teams must consist of 1 to 3 members and can be cross-institute or cross-discipline.
