About the Competition
The Vingo Campus Strategy Challenge '26 is Vingo's flagship national case competition, inviting students from across India to solve real business challenges across strategy, product, growth, marketing, and consumer behaviour. Organised by Vingo, a community-first marketplace building the future of meaningful commerce, this competition offers participants an opportunity to work on business problems inspired by real decisions faced by one of India's fastest-growing consumer startups.
Unlike traditional case competitions, this isn't a hypothetical classroom exercise. Your recommendations will address real business challenges and have the potential to influence product decisions, growth initiatives, marketing campaigns, and community-building efforts at Vingo.
Who Should Apply
This competition is open to undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA, engineering, commerce, economics, design, law, and other students from recognised institutions across India. Cross-specialisation and cross-year teams are encouraged. All team members must belong to the same institution.
Tracks / Themes
Participants may choose one of three strategic challenge tracks:
-
Track A — Access: How can Vingo make aspirational products—whether it's a first camera, musical instrument, gaming setup, premium gadget, or creative equipment—feel more accessible to students and young professionals?
-
Track B — People: Every listing has a story. Design a feature, campaign, or experience that celebrates the people behind the products and builds stronger emotional connections within the Vingo community.
-
Track C — Progress: Design a campus-first go-to-market strategy that makes Vingo the preferred marketplace for students looking to buy, sell, and discover opportunities within their own communities.
Format & Timeline
The competition is conducted entirely online across three rounds:
-
Round 1 — The Next Step (6–8 August 2026): An online quiz assessing analytical thinking, business awareness, marketplace understanding, and strategic aptitude. Teams are expected to download and explore the Vingo app beforehand.
-
Round 2 — The Next Move (9–16 August 2026): Qualified teams receive a detailed case brief and choose one of three tracks. Over 7 days, teams conduct primary research (minimum 15–20 interviews/surveys) and submit a 10–12 slide strategy deck (PDF) along with a mandatory LinkedIn thought leadership post.
-
Round 3 — Finals (17–18 August 2026): Finalist teams present their recommendations to Vingo's founders and leadership team, followed by a live rapid-fire challenge.
