About this grant
StartinUp gives grassroot startups in Uttar Pradesh three kinds of funding. It is managed by SIIC IIT Kanpur, the Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
You receive a sustenance allowance of INR 17,500 per month for one year. It helps cover operating costs and living expenses. You also get a one-time prototyping grant of up to INR 5 Lakh in a single tranche, for startups registered with both DPIIT and StartInUP. It is meant for building MVPs, testing and refining your technology.
The third part is seed capital, mainly for marketing and go-to-market, capped at INR 7.5 Lakhs per startup. An additional 50% can be released against milestones, for up to INR 11.25 Lakhs in total. Mentorship and support from SIIC IIT Kanpur's ecosystem come with it.
To apply, you need valid DPIIT registration and registration under the StartInUP initiative of the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
