Tekathon '26 is an inter-college hackathon meticulously organized by TIB IDEA CAFE, a part of Techno International Batanagar. This event is designed to ignite innovation, foster creativity, and cultivate real-world problem-solving skills among students from various colleges and universities.
Who Should Apply
This hackathon is open to all students currently enrolled in any college or university. Participants can form teams of 2 to 4 members, and teams can be inter-college. It's an ideal platform for both beginners and experienced developers eager to push their limits and transform ideas into tangible solutions.
Format & Timeline
The competition is structured in two main rounds. Round 1 involves an online submission where teams must present their ideas through a PowerPoint presentation and a prototype video. Submissions for this round are due by April 30, 2026. Shortlisted teams will then advance to Round 2, the Offline Grand Finale, which will be a 9-hour hackathon held on-campus at Techno International Batanagar in May 2026. During the final round, teams will build, refine, and present their projects, with mentors available for guidance.
Prizes
Tekathon '26 offers a prize pool worth ₹10,000+ along with exciting rewards for the winners. All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation, while winning teams will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement. The event also provides invaluable networking opportunities with developers and innovators, alongside hands-on experience in tackling real-world challenges.
Eligibility
Open to students enrolled in any college or university. Teams must consist of 2 to 4 members. Solutions must be innovative, technically feasible, and demonstrate clear progress made during the hackathon. Participants are free to choose from or work on given problem statements.
How to Apply
Registration for Tekathon '26 closes on April 21, 2026. Teams must adhere to the online submission deadline of April 30, 2026, for Round 1, which includes submitting a PPT (max 7 slides) and a prototype/demo video. Important updates will be communicated via official channels.
