Selection Process
Applications for the TechPioneer Grant undergo a rigorous multi-stage selection process. Initially, all submitted applications are thoroughly reviewed by a selection committee comprising faculty members, industry experts, and representatives from the IITM Incubation Cell and the School of Innovation & Entrepreneurship. This initial screening focuses on the innovation's DeepTech nature, the viability of the prototype/MVP, market potential within the specified sectors (Agritech, Climatetech, Fintech), and the team's strength. Shortlisted startups are then typically invited for an intensive pitch round, where they present their solutions and business plans to a jury. This stage often involves detailed Q&A sessions. Final decisions are made based on the overall assessment of technological innovation, market readiness, scalability, and the potential for impact.
